What our pupils thought
“Brilliant book really adventurous. I liked how there was magic and the two rivals knew each other. I liked that Cactus Kid went on an adventure to find the star rock to get his magic master tier.”
“I loved it. It was very quick to read because I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for the next one to come out.”
“We thought it was brilliant and very funny. Lots of bright pages with lots going on.”
“I wanted to keep reading it.”

What our educators thought
“Whilst it was not, at first glance, a book I would instantly pick up, I was intrigued by the response of the pupils. Most admitted that they rarely read graphic novels (or comics) but they found this book entertaining and it certainly helped to create a buzz and also showed that reading for pleasure can take many forms. Anything that encourages a love of reading is a success in my book!”
