About the book club:

Our book club is a new club that started this term and our aim is to inspire people to read for pleasure. We are open to members from across the school. We meet once a week and look at a different genre of book and also share a book that we have chosen to read. We are very lucky that we each have a copy of the book so we can take it home to read a chapter and then discuss it the following week. We sometimes do a quiz and always share a snack!

What our educators thought

“Whilst it was not, at first glance, a book I would instantly pick up, I was intrigued by the response of the pupils. Most admitted that they rarely read graphic novels (or comics) but they found this book entertaining and it certainly helped to create a buzz and also showed that reading for pleasure can take many forms. Anything that encourages a love of reading is a success in my book!”
