Our School Review

What our pupils thought

Really positive reviews from all of the girls. When they first saw it they were reluctant because it was a non fiction book but once they started flicking through it and saw it had magic tricks in it they loved it. They all came back into the book club doing the tricks and comparing who can do which ones. They thoroughly enjoyed the book and I also felt in gave them confidence to stand up in front of their friends.

“I really didn’t think this would be a book I would enjoy but I loved it! The magic tricks are really cool and the ideas for mental health were good. I will recommend this to my friends.”

“I didn’t feel I needed the help and tips for my confidence but I really enjoyed the book and doing the tricks.”

” I thought it was really well put together as a book and I liked the illustrations.”

What our educators thought

“I think it is a really good and fun book. The book is bright which appeals to kids and has a fabulous typeface and illustrations in it which is easy for the kids to use. I really like the message that comes through it and the confidence it teaches you to stand up in front of your class and be calm and controlled. A really good message comes through of not worrying about making mistakes and the girls are proud of their new skills. They have all been really keen to show their new skills and are brimming with enthusiasm. I really like the facts which are subtly dropped in the book. It is now in the library and the girls are recommending it to their friends to read and they have been teaching each other new tricks. I hadn’t expected it to have such an impact on the girls but it’s a really well written magic book and the impact on the mind you can see in the girls and it’s all positive.”
