Nibbles: The Very Hungry Book Monster

What the book club told us about the book:

A picture book aimed at LKS2 - year 2 upwards. The book is about a book-eating monster called Nibbles. He is on the hunt for books to eat, but one book is too slimy, one too sweet, and one too smelly. Will he ever find the perfect read? Maybe the tastiest treat is closer than expected...

About the book club:

Our book club consists of our year 4 classes - 40 children in total. We dedicate 15 minutes every day to read and discover new books. We meet on a Friday to talk about what we have read.

What our educators thought

“I really liked that there was lots to explore on each of the pages. The children enjoyed that there were flaps on the pages to lift and that gave them more things to discover. It is pitched at year 2 upwards and there were lots of discussions around the fairy tales in the story.

We had lessons built on oracy – where the children discussed what they knew about fairy tales and what questions they had for the characters.”
