Our School Review

What our pupils thought

“I liked the part when all the animals turned black and white! I had not seen animals looking stripy apart from a zebra.”

“I had to look carefully at the end, and then I laughed.”

“I enjoyed the part when zebra tried to turn all the animals back to normal. I thought it might work!”

About the book club:

The children wanted to make a book club because we all love to read! The whole class of EYFS and Year 1 children get involved. During the session, we talk about books we are currently reading and look at books we want to read. We find out about other books an author has written. We add our thoughts onto the School's Book Chat padlet so everyone can see our choices and our thoughts.

What our educators thought

“I enjoyed the book as much as the children! The children were so excited to receive a book by an author they recognised and love. They remembered reading the Oi frog series, so they were inspired to begin to read this new book. The story is very engaging, with vibrant illustrations, all the children were keen to find out what would happen. It is an ideal book for EYFS and Key Stage 1, definitely a book you will want to read more then once! The children were very surprised by the ending and the very observant children spotted what had happened straight away!”
