About the book club:
What our educators thought
“I am a big believer of poetry being super accessible to all children. I found this collection to be particularly appealing as a result of it’s slightly unusual format. I really enjoyed the introductory section and felt that it promoted poetry in a different light to any child reading this book. In fact it has given me an idea for a class activity to create Poetry Postcards to exchange with another local school.
I also thought that the “Thematic Contents Index” was a fun and interesting way to introduce children to using an index and the fact that the introduction explained how to use the index was very useful!
The illustrations were particularly fun and engaging and related very well to the tone of the poetry, although I would have loved to have seen more of them.”
