Our School Review

What our pupils thought

“I really enjoyed the book as I constantly wanted answers so I had to read more. I adored the characters as they all had interesting personalities and backgrounds. My favourite character is Daisy as she is so sweet and is just a joy to read about. I loved how theatre was weaved through this story it made me laugh all the time. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a book with a page turning murder mystery and a lot of theatre mixed in as well.”

“I don’t  normally read murder mystery books but I really enjoyed reading this book. I found it very easy to get behind the characters and follow the narrative and the book was such a fun read, it has inspired me to read more books like that. My favourite character was Aaron, I just liked reading his part in the book and I would definitely recommend.”

“I found this book very entertaining and I liked the contrast between stage directions and actual storytelling. I found that Chloe’s death was my favourite scene. I really enjoyed the book even though it’s not what I usually read.”

“I loved this book! I honestly could not put it down! My favourite character was Livie she was just really interesting and a good character! It was very entertaining.”

“Ava Eldred captures the heightened emotions of teen theatre life with a chilling dose of suspense. It’s a murder mystery that feels grounded in real friendships and real consequences. This book is 100 percent  worth reading especially if you love theatre, secrets, and slow-burn suspense.”
