What to expect from the Ross Montgomery Author Event

After a dramatic reading, Ross will explain how his silly story about a school play going wrong is actually an adaptation of a Shakespeare play, and how Shakespeare plays have been adapted for centuries (with a few famous examples thrown in). Ross will then show how adaptations are a great way to get ideas for your very own stories – we’ll then have a go at adapting a famous Shakespeare play into a brand new story of our own about whatever we want – MACBETH about monkeys? ROMEO AND JULIET about robots? The only limit is your imagination!

Nick is truly, madly in love with Jessie Stone. And she doesn’t even know his name. In a ploy to win her heart, he plans to star alongside her in the school production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.
