She’s worked as a freelance illustrator since 2010 and stepped into publishing after an epic trip to Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2018\, when she joined Pickled Ink agency and secured her first book deal with Ladybird Books. Her work has been published by Rocket Bird Books\, Andersen Press\, Random House US and Ladybird Books\, amongst others. Laurie’s images are energetic and humorous with characters that are relatable.
