What pupils get?
We have two options available to schools – all students must be on the same service, so you’ll choose at registration which option you want.
Option 1 -Books and magazine £75/yr
- Two books, including one brand new title and one back title release.
- One magazine chosen to provide a fun and different reading experience.
- Books and magazine selected to match the pupil’s individual reading level.
- Five deliveries a year straight to the school.
- The first exciting delivery will be in a Reading Rocks tote bag with other goodies to spread the joy of reading!
- Books are beautifully wrapped for an exciting ‘unwrapping experience’.
That’s just £15 per book bag or less than 6% of a pupil’s annual allocated PPG.

- Books selected to match the pupil’s individual reading level.

Frequently asked questions
We’ve tried to answer all your questions about the service below, but if you don’t see an answer to your questions then please fill out an enquiry below.
How much is postage?
Postage and packaging is included in the service, so you can be sure there are going to be no extra hidden costs.
How will the bags arrive?
We use Royal Mail and Parcel Force as our preferred courier.
All pupils’s bags will arrive bulk packed in larger boxes. Each bag will be labelled either with the student’s initial or their name, depending on what you supply at registration.
Bags will arrive bundled by year group, depending on numbers at your school.
If your school also signs up to allow parents to purchase bags, all the students bags will arrive bundled together – there will be no way for the other students to differentiate between those paid for by the school or parents.
Do you have a minimum order volume?
As a general rule we have a minimum order of 10 pupils per school. However, if you don’t quite meet this criteria, do still contact us and we’ll try our best to accomodate your school.
What date do I need to submit final numbers
We require an estimate by 11th July, to be submitted with your registration enquiry. However, we do understand that things might change slightly, for example if someone joins or leaves the school.
We will send you a form to provide the final numbers in September and a small variance on the original number is fine.
When will the bags arrive?
We’ll send five bags altogether over the course of the academic year:
- October
- December
- February
- April
- June
The first bags in October will be a special stater pack including a Reading Rocks tote bag and other goodies to kick start the joy of reading for the year!
How can I pay?
We’ll arrange payment directly with your accounts department. Your school can choose to either pay as each bag comes out or twice a year.
You can pay by:
- BACs
- Credit or Debit card
We’re experts at working with schools’ accounts departments – we’ve not found a process we can’t work with yet!
Do you offer international postage?
We can only offer the Pupil Premium book service in the UK.
What if my students reading level changes?
We really hope it does! We’ll give you the option to change your pupils reading level via a spreadsheet submission each half term.
