head sponsorWell last year’s #RRGoesToUni was just such a great success, we decided to come back….and go even bigger!!

So we’re inviting BOTH primary and secondary educators to the event. All are welcome – teachers, learning support assistants, mentors, librarians and senior leaders.

The event will be full of all things bookish, helping us think of ways to promote reading for pleasure, nurturing competent readers and writers and using reading materials across the curriculum and the education phases. The day will include keynote speakers, workshops and of course a brilliant bookshop. It is a great opportunity to meet fellow Reading Rockers, old and new friends and to share practice and ideas together.

Here’s Jan Rowe from LJMU’s School of Education on getting involved in the RR event:

After the success of last year’s event, the school of Education at Liverpool John Moores University is very excited to be hosting Reading Rocks goes to Uni again next March.

As a teacher training provider, working in partnership with fantastic schools across the region, we are looking forward to welcoming all book-loving primary and secondary teachers to our IMMarsh campus. We hope you will join us and be inspired by the Reading Rocks experience. Teachers and student teachers who attended last year were bowled over by the range of workshops and speakers on offer, and this year’s line-up looks equally impressive.
