About Nicky Smith-Dale
Nicky Smith-Dale is the author of the hilarious Betty Steady series. As a child, she always had her head in the clouds. During her career as a primary school teacher, she loved sharing stories with her pupils, but she couldn’t stop dreaming up stories of her own. One day, she decided to write the most bonkers story she could imagine, and Betty Steady was born! Now, Nicky enjoys writing funny children’s books from her home in Winchester, where she lives with her husband and two children.

What to expect from the event
In this event, pupils will meet Nicky Smith-Dale’s madcap characters and explore the land of Wobbly Rock. We will discover how reading can make us feel great and that there are books out there for everyone. Plus, children can let their imaginations flow, as they create their own funny characters. Join us for crazy quizzes, an author Q&A and a whole heap of fun!
