About Liz
Liz Flanagan is an award-winning author who writes for children and young adults. Her books include the Wildsmith series of chapter books, wonderfully illustrated by Joe Todd-Stanton, and the exciting Legends of the Sky fantasy series, as well as the YA novel Eden Summer which was nominated for the Carnegie Medal.

What to expect from the event
In this interactive presentation, Liz will introduce the Wildsmith series, explain where the ideas came from, and invite children to take part in a series of creative tasks – imagining a character, a setting and a super-power. Liz will read from the books before inviting children to use all their story ingredients in a brand new story of their own.
